My LATEST Story
As of January 2018, I am now selling here on my own website in addition to my Etsy store. Thanks for stopping by!
I've been sewing as long as I can remember. From cross-stitching to needlepoint, making my own clothes and dressing my dolls, selling in craft fairs and on Etsy, or stitching gifts for friends and their children, my experience and skills cover almost five decades.
I created my first chair pocket over five years ago for my son's teacher. My sister suggested I put my design on Etsy and sell to other teachers who needed a well-made, dependable product. And, a funny thing happened. People started buying them -- one cover at a time -- and, eventually, entire classroom sets.
My chair pocket product line has expanded to include more options like pocket styles, stocked fabric choices, and embroidery. My cell phone charging stations are a big hit, Teachers and students both win with this item in the classroom. These charging stations have also been used in hospital staff break rooms, fast food staff break rooms, and boys and girls clubs! Up next, I will be adding a variation for tablet charging stations.
I've also decided to stock toy making parts -- the same parts that I had a hard time finding when I wanted to make toys for my children and as gifts for friends. These items are great for kids and pets and meet strict food safety and child safety guidelines. I am slowly building my stock of styles and colors. I have the best stock of silicone toy making supplies in the USA.
I love being a small business owner, and I spend entirely too much time at my sewing machine (just ask my family!) I have a B.S. Chemistry from Texas Tech University and postgraduate work towards a M.S. Ed. at Middle Tennessee State University. I love to study history, spend time with my family, and learn about "how things work." When not doing Mom duties or working on my business, you will find me strolling through my garden and feeding the birds.
