CHAIR POCKET BACKS
Select from Full Back Chair Pockets or Tall Back Chair Pockets. ===>>>Please note that embroidered chair pockets will ONLY be made with tall backs to allow enough room for embroidery.<<<===
FULL BACK CHAIR POCKETS. My standard and original style of chair pocket. The back of this chair cover (the side that your child's back will rest against) goes completely to the bottom of the expandable pocket. This style generally stays on your chair easier. <<<For this style, you will need to select the width of your cover. I use general/standard heights for this type of cover UNLESS you specifically request otherwise.>>>
TALL BACK -- This style is best suitable for chairs that have the seat and the back molded together in one piece. Typically, this chair has some curve to the back and it gets thicker as the back curves into the seat. This style also works great for chairs that have a shorter back as it allows the pocket to sit slightly lower than the level of the seat. The tall back covers are sewn with a smaller insert area to "hook" onto the top of the chair.
All of my pockets are expandable. This means that the pocket is larger than the seat back width. Other sellers simply make a one piece cover (that is easy to make) and want you to purchase an oversized product in order for items to fit in the pockets. This makes the chair pocket sag and look sloppy.
My styles are priced based upon the amount of materials required to make the product and the time to sew it up.
VALUE STYLE -- My most economical and popular pocket style. This pleated pocket features a 3" expansion. This size works well for teacher who plan to keep a few folders and books at the student desk.
TABLESS DELUXE -- This pleated pocket style features a 5" expansion. This style is recommended for teachers who plan to use student binders or thick books regularly at the desk.
DELUXE -- This pleated pocket style features a 5" expansion and adds velcro™ tabs on either side for adjustment.
PREMIUM -- This is my original pocket style and features a 7" expansion. It is also gathered at the bottom and has a heavy duty elastic band at the top. I recommend this pocket for teachers who plan to keep a lot of materials, including supply boxes, in the pockets.
Sorry, there is not enough room in this listing for embroidery details. For more information on embroidery and to see samples, please visit my blog:
I recommend selecting two CONTRASTING colors for the chair pocket and embroidery thread. You will need to select the fabric used for your chair pocket and the thread color of the name to be embroidered.
See the picture in my listing for my thread colors.
Each embroidered name is digitized to get the name as large as possible on the chair pocket up to 10 inches wide. (The longer the name, the smaller the size font will be.)
To see all of the letters in each font, here is a link to the embroidery software that I use. Simply click on the alphabet that you are interested in (I have not purchased all of the alphabets and only have the ones that are listed in my picture):
All fabrics are premium quality, medium duty fabrics. These fabrics feature a special screen print technique on 100% cotton fabric. These are the same fabrics that many name brand designers use on upholstery products and in pillows.
Machine wash or hand wash cold. Lay flat to dry. DO NOT MACHINE DRY. Iron on a medium (wool) setting. Dry cleaning is NOT recommended.
Some teachers provide a template or pattern when classroom chair pockets are required. Please send me this information so that I can pull down the chair dimensions.
If no sizing is provided by the teacher, please include the grade that your child will be in and I will use this standard size template (sizing updated July 2018).
Optional snaps also available upon request (if the chair pocket is too big, these can be used on the sides to make the cover tighter.) I use industrial grade KAM snaps and will match it to your fabric.:
K-1 15 inches wide
2-3 17 inches wide
4-5 19 inches wide

Did you know that I offer a ONE YEAR GUARANTEE on all chair pockets? If your chair pocket fails from regular use within the first year (due to workmanship*), I will repair or replace your cover at no extra charge.
*Does not apply to rips or cuts in fabric, marks or stains that occur due to misuse, or improper handling of covers.
I designed my original kindergarten chair covers for my son's teacher in 2011. Her chair pockets were straight pieces of fabric folded up at the end for a pocket. They were falling apart at the seams, and the fabric was ripping on the sides. The classroom was small and space was a premium. I borrowed a chair for sizing and created my first expandable pocket chair cover. That replacement cover turned into an entire classroom of new chair pocket covers! They covers are still in use today!
